Building together

Friends, allies, associates. When Alex Petrakos, a Los Angeles based architect, reached out in hopes of branding his multi-disciplinary design firm, I knew we had to align. My dad is a retired architect so it’s in my blood to create something impactful and worth remembering within the endless sea of budding architects. A strong sense of space, grid, and cues from the days of architect past are found within this new system of parts. A monogram featuring a large ‘A’ lifting up a smaller ‘P’ help convey a partnership and a need to build something great together. The pen stipple effect bring up memories of using those Rapidograph pens and how hard it seemed as a kid to fill those without spilling the ink. It also helps to soften all the vector lines and give the brand some warmth, while serving as a bonus stamped pattern for DIY budget printing, etc. All in all, I think this is a lovely system that can grow with the firm and be a complement to the team.
